How do human activities affect our environment and its resources? This interdisciplinary option allows students to dig into possible solutions to important environmental issues so that they will be prepared for fulfilling careers in environmental science, environmental law, policy making, government regulators, environmental activism, and related fields.
How does the environment influence human health and disease, and how do we identify and address these risk factors? This interdisciplinary option provides students with knowledge of just that, while preparing students for challenging roles such as toxicologists, environmental health specialists, public health specialists, environmental scientists, health policy analysts, and more.
If you’re interested in a broad-based scientific background related to the management, sustainability and use of our natural resources, this interdisciplinary option provides students with a foundation for a promising future. Students will be prepared for exciting careers in conservation, resource planning and management, fish and wildlife conservation, park ranging, and related roles.
This unique program (3+1+1) has many partner universities and still trains the next generation of natural resource research scientists. Students spend three years at Tuskegee University before transferring to an host university for their senior year and later graduate studies (approximately, 90% of these undergraduates continue to pursue professional or graduate degrees. You will be prepared to protect, conserve and manage our nation’s fish and natural resources for a variety of rewarding career options including park rangers, forest managers, land use planners, wildlife biologists, ecologists, fisheries biologists, zookeepers and wildlife area managers.
Discover the depth of what it takes to help crop producers feed a growing population while conserving natural resources. Students will learn how to conserve our soil and water resources, including obtaining knowledge of plant/soil ecosystems as it relates to the production of plants. You will be prepared for rewarding careers in soil conservation, crop advising, extension, crop breeding, crop biotechnology, and related fields.
Discover how to help plants grow better with this option that focuses on the production, physiology and management of horticultural crops such as fruits, vegetables and ornamentals. Students will be prepared for rewarding careers in greenhouse management, floral design, crop production, landscape design and nursery management.
