This generous program provides need-based scholarships of up to $5,000.00 to eligible students attending UNCF Member HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), with a preference to students who Attended select K-12 schools in Michigan such as Kettering High School, Southeastern High School, Jackson Middle School, or Detroit High School for the Performing Arts (Detroit School of the Arts).

 
 

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants must

  • Have a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Be enrolled at a UNCF member school as a full-time student for the current 2024-2025 school year.
  • File a 2024-2025 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Have a demonstrated unmet, financial need as verified by their college or university
  • Applicants from outside of Michigan will only be considered if related to someone who is a member of the American Bridge Association. Proof of membership must be provided.

Preference will be given to:

  • Students from Michigan who attended the following Michigan schools: Kettering High School, Southeastern High School, Jackson Middle School, or Detroit High School for the Performing Arts (Detroit School of the Arts).
