What do students like most about your school?
We have a long legacy of history and accolades with Booker T. Washington as our founder in 1881. Students take great pride in becoming Golden Tigers due to our student-centered culture that feels like a family. Our faculty and staff go out of their way to support students, advocate for them, and build relationships throughout their time at Tuskegee (and beyond). Within CAENS specifically, we provide one-on-one guidance through the admissions process, as well as assistance with finding scholarships, internships, and jobs throughout your academic career.
What types of students are happiest at your school?
CAENS students are curious, open-minded, and willing to take advantage of the resources that our department provides. They love a family atmosphere and close connections with classmates and professors that encourage them along their journey. Although our course curriculum is rigorous, our students work hard and know they can reach out for help when they need it.
What financial support does your college offer?
We provide a regularly updated blog about financial aid & scholarships so that you’re always in the know of what you can apply for to help pay for college. We encourage students to fill out the FAFSA, apply for work study positions, and apply for scholarships within and outside of our university to assist you. What’s a typical day look like for a CAENS student?
A typical day for a CAENS student typically involves attending classes or labs, studying with classmates, or attending a meeting for an organization that will help them get involved and potentially help them earn an internship or future job offer. Our faculty and staff are very supportive to help you get closer to your dreams, and you’ll get to experience hands-on learning the moment you walk in the door.
How does your career planning department help students?
We provide ongoing updates about opportunities such as internships, jobs, and study abroad programs through partnerships that help students gain experience and graduate job-ready for the market, and our faculty/staff will advocate for you along the way. Yes!
